"Therefore, do not be foolish but understand what the Lord's will is"

God has a plan for the life of each person. The Bible teaches that we can know what God desires us to do in most any circumstance. Our top priority should be to determine just what His will is for our lives-and then do it-whatever the cost.

The First Requirements To Knowing God's Will

1. John 6:29 Believe in Jesus, make a personal commitment to Him.
2. John 14:15 Keep His command
3. Matthew 16:24 Deny ourselves, live for Him
4. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in…lean not…acknowledge Him….straight paths!

Ways to gain knowledge of Gods will

1. Psalm 119:105 Through His Word, the Bible.
2. Col. 3:15-16 By allowing God's Word to dwell in our hearts.
3. John 17:17 By believing the always "truthful" Word of God.
4. Proverbs 11:14 Seek wise Christian counsel and input.
5. II Timothy 1:7 Common sense, using your "sound mind".
6. James 1:5-8 Through prayer. Seek God and He guarantees wisdom.
7. Romans 12:1-2 Self sacrifice. Be not conformed, be transformed.
8. Psalm 1 Seek wisdom from above. Walk in God's ways not man's.

If we don't hear God's voice, it's often because we're simply not listening. 
We need to take time in our busy schedules to listen to Him.
