Biblical Perspective
Our hope is in God and our strength is in him (Ps. 42:11). There are times when God seems far away and our prayers go unanswered, but the Bible teaches that God brings deliverance, healing, and eternal hope.  Despair seems to be inevitable in every human life, but it need not persist, for we are assured that God loves us and gives our life meaning and purpose.

Psalm 34:1, 7
I will praise the Lord no matter what happens.  I will constantly speak of his glories and grace.
For the Angel of the Lord guards and rescues all who reverence him.

Psalm 91:1, 11, 12, 15, 16
We live within the shadow of the Almighty, sheltered by the God who is above all gods.
For he orders his angels to protect you wherever you go.  They will steady you with their hands to keep you from stumbling against the rocks and the trail.
"When he calls on me I will answer; I will be with him in trouble, and rescue him and honor him.  I will satisfy him with a full life and give him my salvation."
